Production Controller -West Midlands

The responsibilities of the role are as follows: · Liaising with the customer, material and services suppliers, and internal production management with regards to workshop activity and output. · Measurement and reporting on key production activities versus requirements and report and communicate on schedule/yield issues · Supporting the production management team in data collection and interpretation · Measure and report schedule adherence, production capabilities and waste/scrap analysis. · To create and maintain an achievable manufacturing plan that fulfils customers demands. · Interaction, with Quality Engineering team and brainstorm idea for problem solving / continuous improvement · Analyse and Report on Failure Data · Collate and analyse information from internal / external audits · Use of statistical analysis methodologies to continue the pursuit of business excellence · To monitor production achievement and progress against the plan. · To highlight deviations from plan (e.g., delays, unforeseen events) and proactively work to recover the plan and/or seek remedial action. · Provide information and KPI’s to Senior Management/Supervision:- Work to lists, Capacity information etc. · Optimise stock levels by understanding and using lead times, order policies, batch parameters and safety stocks. To fulfil these requirements you must have the following skills / experience: · Strong manufacturing background preferably Automotive or Aerospace · In depth working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems (Essential) · Lean Manufacturing Experience (Lean Six sigma, Kaizen / Kanban etc) · “Hands-on” production control experience gained within a high quality batch-manufacturing environment · Computer literacy including the use of excel spreadsheets · Proven man management skills (essential) · Excellent communication / presentation skills (written and verbal) The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to join an organisation that is a beacon of hope within the manufacturing industry.
